My daughter rented a house down there this weekend for a family getaway. I've never fished there before. Anybody got any advice where to start or what to do? Any advice would be appreciated. Feel free to pm me if you want. Thanks

Crappie Masters tournament there next weekend (18th) Just follow the crowd! !!!
No advice but I do want to wish you a safe and successful trip looking forward to seeing some pics!
Some of those fellers used to come to our crappie camps on Greeson. Give "Chuter" a holler on the Louisiana board. I know it is a good crappie lake. DP
Check out the LA board. Southern Chuter, Freebird, Getdanet, and a few others will lead you in the right direction. Probably be a little tight lipped with the CM tourney coming so soon.
Stay in the boat lanes and idle when you leave the boat lanes. Fish structure.
Good advise, Thanks guys.
Have never been but heard good things about the fishing. I hope you fill the boat and have some quality time with your family.
buddy sent me photos of a 20 + boats spidderinging near the James Payton Smith Bridge off of hwy 33 in Farmerville , there is a boat ramp right off the hwy there! not sure if this will help any but looks like a popular spot!!! about the middle of the lake area
What Bill said.
Look for the Duck Commander crew too. DP
Fish were shallow last week but with the rain and high water that could change.
5 days of rain coming up will make it interesting!
Hey I just wanted to give a follow up on our trip last weekend. We had a great time, loved the lake and the people of Farmerville were as nice as they could possibly be. I really want to thank so many of you guys that worked really hard at helping us find fish. I couldn't have asked for anything more than what many of you provided us regarding information on where and how to fish. My family hears me talking about crappie.com all the time but last weekend they got a chance to see first hand how great a group of sportsmen and women you guys are. They couldn't believe all the help that came from strangers, as they see it, but I call them friends, that came to our aid to help us find fish. Now we never did really tear them up, averaged about 7 a day, but what we did catch was because of all of your help. I'm the worst at thinking to take pictures while I'm fishing but I did take a few mostly while back at the house. So here are a few of them.http://www.crappie.com/crappie/attac...63545876-1-jpgMy daughter, son-in-law and grandson in my boat as we are fixing to fish the Hwy 2 bridge area.http://www.crappie.com/crappie/attac...5523_hdr-1-jpgStowe Creek.http://www.crappie.com/crappie/attac...94041511-1-jpgMy grandson who won't hold a fish, so I had to put one on the pole to get a picture. But he will indeed catch you a minnow, it may have it's eyes bulging out when you get it out of his hand, and be dead, but if so, just ask for another one. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/attac...94327644-1-jpgMe acting like an idiot trying to hold those crappie out as far as I can in hopes they'll look bigger.http://www.crappie.com/crappie/attac...8265_hdr-1-jpgAnd the view of the Hwy 2 bridge from the back of the house were we stayed. I especially want to thank many of you for all the help. And I apologize if I unintentionally left anybody out. THANK YOU, to Barneyrb, 20watt, Tracker123, Clayroot2, Jim, fishervet, OzarkAngler, luvtofish, fishfry, Arkcrappie, Ironman, lakedarbonnelife, Charles Richardson, and CrappieGreg for all of your help.
