Rain possibly? Everything down here is muddy and way out of its banks.
It's been hanging right around there for some time now.
The middle graph shows the elevation curve that is used. The green line indicates the curve itself.
had lots of rain to fill her.
how many watch the river graph, to judge the bite? the lake graph gives you the height. the river graph can give you a better idea of current. an equally or even more important tool.
Not real sure how this spring run is going to be in the river this year. Accuweather is calling for about 5" of rain over the next week!!:mad:
I fished Missy tonight figuring it would be the last trip for a long while with all this rain. Never got rained on all night which was nice, fished Frances Slocum area again. Was still kinda slow but we picked away at em. Ended up with about 30 fish between 3 of us. 2 biggest fish were 13 and 12 inches, both were caught fishing 6 inches deep. Fish were attacking my bobber on the surface so i shallowed up and picked up 2 nice ones back to back. Probably be a while before i visit her again unfortunately thanks to this weather. See ya next month hopefully Missy..

Good thing is it doesn't look like we are getting near the rain this week they were calling for the other day. River looks to be back down to is normal flow, but it sure looks MUDDY!!! Id imagine with a couple nice days the river will clear up and fishing will be back to normal.
I went over on Sunday and tried it. The lake was a muddy mess and up about 7 feet from when i was last there. I fished for maybe 10 minutes before i said forget it. One of my buddies suggested trying the spillway. I was not thrilled but told him since he drove we would do whatever he wanted to do. We drove down there and i bet there was 50 people fishing that big eddy on the east side. I looked over to the west side and there was nobody at all on the rocks so i told him to drive over there and check it out. Water was moving pretty good in there but we found one small eddy that the water was moving just slow enough. We probably caught 100 crappie, a lot of small ones, several decent sized ones as well. Also caught 2 small walleye and 4 white bass. But the best part of it all, is that the entire day we only had 2 guys come over and fish that side with us. What a pleasant surprise. I seen a few caught across from us in the circus, but not many. If we don't get much rain tomorrow i'm hoping the lake will be in better shape for the weekend.
Ya, I drove over the dam on Sat. and it was shoulder to shoulder. No fish in the world could get me down there. Good to here you did good. The river has been dropping but still very muddy. This weekend should be good if the water clears and the weather holds.
