Skiffin16 Update..
Just wanted to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers for Shelley and myself most of last year..., that Whipple was a bear.
But with the surgery in December, all is well to date, and hopefuly I'm done with everything health wise for another 30 years or so...
Gaining a few pounds back, enjoying life.., which includes fishing of course..., and my beautiful wife and life...

Lookin pretty good John, curious how much weight have you lost?
2 yrs ago you told me to hold a 3x t-shirt - now looks like you a large would do the
trick.
Good to see you back in fold with us...........Good health to you my friend
Hope to meet you in person on water ...............

Thanks everyone..
Harold, I lost 97# in all.., gained about 20 back since December, LOL. I dropped a few clothes sizes for sure, but and XL works best as I like them loose.. Depends on the shirt. I dropped from a 44 down to a 34, but I'm at a 36 now..
I want to stay where I'm at now.. I've been riding my bike about 40 - 50 miles a week, getting strength back.

Good new to hear John. You have gone through one "heck of operation" that many
do not attempt - had one friend do it 22 yrs at Baylor in Dallas.........She said would
never do it again...........
Went on to become cancer survivor - see boy graduate from high school, see children
mary and become grandmother.......................to me it was worth it..............
Same for you my friend.............you are doing great.. there is light at end of tunnel
and its not a "friggin train"
Congrats

On another note..., I just got the results of a recent CT today from having gone through STGIII SCC Tonsils Cancer in January 2009... Four types of chemo, 35 daily rads sessions of sixteen weeks...
Six years post treatment, complete remission...
