Yes sir they are but still have to know how to get them to bite. I brought 2 buddies with me and were using the same bait I caught 32 they caught a combined 6.

I normally drag either a beetle spin or a Lil' Fishie on a spinner really slow. Once I catch a couple in one spot, I will hit that spot with a cork and jig.

I hit Cypress Monday and only caught 7...only one of my spots produced!
I have to find new spots every day. Can't catch a fish in the spots I hit the day before. No new fishing moving up. Modal caught 60 worked Tuesday caught 56 yesterday. Both days had to look for them for 2 to 3 hours. I am catching them in places I have never caught them before. My spots I have fished for years have done nothing

Found a couple beds this time FINALLY!
My buddy caught a bass over 6lbs too. If you like to bass fish now is the time. They are on the beds. We probably caught 10 bass
