Nobody's said anything so that must mean they are wearing them out😱😱.. I haven't been since last Friday. They should be thinking about moving up if I had to guess
There biting there. Look back at last weeks post on the Rez. I haven't been in a few days
Think they're moving out of that area to their spawning grounds. I caught 10 on the South end of the lake Wednesday. One big speck that was right at 2 lbs n several in the pound, pound and a 1/4 range
DonDon, I'm fairly new here. When you say a South lake is that South of the hwy 43 bridge?
I'm afraid to ask....I use to travel up from Kenner this time of year and fish the spillway for about two days during March/April. It's been 3 years but I think I might drive up on Wednesday. Do they still crowd the bank/rocks and boats fish on top of each other 20 yards from the bank?

They were stacked up under the spillway this afternoon
I used to wear those crappie out there under the spillway when I lived in Pearl. When the Jackson gauge got up to 28' in the first week of April, it was on. In 1983 (I believe) there was a 4X8 sign at the end of that ramp. The water was up about 8ft over that sign and the crappie was piled up behind it. I caught 75 huge crappie from behind the sign. Good times.
Went out this morning , using gnats and minnows double rigs. Started out around marker 4 and trolled 8 rods 10 to 12 ft. deep. I dink......went back behind the island there and caught 1 black male in 2 1/2 ft. water on a minnow under a cork. Left there and went back to the 43 bridge and trolled around the edge of the river in 14 to 20 ft. fishing 10 to 12 ft. deep Not a bite.....Wasn't my day at all.....Off work tomorrow and not a clue where to go.....:dono
