Monday Funday...

Starting to take some unexpected time off. If I don't now, I might not have a chance for a while. Wind blew like a politician and fish hit like looters in Ferguson.

Ran into Brian way back in the second cove I tried to hide from the wind.

First cove fished 8-12 fow and 4-8' down, left with five.

Second cove fished 9-3 fow and 1-7' down, left with a total of 11 crappie and two nice blues.

Lost one nice fish, didn't get a good eye on it to make out if it was a big white or healthy hybrid.

Jigs or minnows?

I'm using jigs with minnows. Silver/char.

Water temp when I got to the first cove was 47 and 55 when I left, water was 60 in the second cove. My guess is by the weekend you'd be hard pressed to find water at 40.

Glad you found time to get out again. That silver glitter/chart has been the best jig for me the last couple weeks. It won't keep up with the minnows but for sure has caught more fish than other colored jigs.
