Heading out to tillery to fish the rocky creek area, anyone had any luck out that way yet?
It has been about 2 week ago that I was on Tillery and the wind blew me off the lake. WT was still in the mid 40s then so let us know what it is now if you go. If it is in the 60s it should be good fishing.
Well nice weather but no crappie.... Couple big redbreast bream but that's it, couple other guys out there said they had seen people catching but no one could show me a fish haha I'll try it again next weekend.
Lunchbox109 what was the water temp? May head up there Tue.
Sorry Pam I was in my kayak and don't have a finder on there so im not sure, but it felt pretty dang cold .....
We went on Saturday 3/22. Fish were biting early but came to a screaching halt when the sun got up good. Caught several nice perch and 1 real good crappie. The water temp was in the mid 50's. Attachment 196340
That's a nice looking fish there bestfriend im going to be doing some night fishing this weekend so hopefully the bite will be on my buddy told me he has been killing it on high rock ....
I'm going to try and get back to Tillery this afternoon before the cold weather comes back this weekend. I'll post again if the bite is on.
Hopefully this cold snap won't chill the water too much....😕
Fish biting shallow on tillery as of yesterday.. Went to visit family stopped by one of my favorite bank spots.. And they were getting into them good.. So I joined the party ended up with crappie in the 11 inch range a slew of big female white perch and 2 male white bass I was more excited to see there was a few white bass hanging around than anything
Fished out of Norwood landing Thursday afternoon. Water temp was up to 63. Wind was blowing pretty good. I tried long lining for several hours and only caught 1 crappie. I was marking some fish but could not get them to bite. Moved around to other spots but just could not find fish. Got into some white bass in the very back of the cove, but not what I was after. Finally went back to where i was marking fish earlier and started casting for them finally caught my second crappie 30 minutes before dark. Caught 8 more to go with it. I guess the lesson learned here is if your marking a good school of fish, don't leave them! I wish I would have come back to that spot earlier.
Spent saterday night fishing in rocky creek caught 20 keepers and a bunch of shorts. Got a few big female white bass had a good night overall, had no luck during the day they only seemed to show up once it got dark.
