Wind northwest 9 mph and gusting. But the wife and I had a ball catching crappie and fighting the wind. We went about 2:00pm left at 5:00pm wind done whipped us. But we did get a good mess after all. Water temp. was showing 73° on my humminbirds. Water level back up to normal again after rains. Lots of green pollen floating on the water.

I pull it up on a map and it shows 'water park'. When I zoom in I don't see one.
I'm looking for cabins or campground areas with water park area close. Roosevelt has a small park, not sure about the fishing. The water park at the casinos isn't to far away.

They also have some aluminum jon boats to rent if someone wanted to just bring a small trolling or gas motor. It's about 450 acres in size with a small creek that supplies it with fresh water. Went today caught 37 crappie threw back 7 small size gave a old man fishing out on the lake 18 and brought home 12 fillet them and wife fried them for supper. It is not a big lake but it is just 6-7 miles from my home and I love to fish. Come on down and give it a try sometimes. I have thought about trying Long Creek Reservoir, up close to Meridian,Ms. myself, but I don't know if it is ready to be fished yet as they have been working on the dam. Here is a picture of what I kelp they are not monsters in size but they eat good.Quote:
