When I use 8, I do 4 x 14 and 4 x 12 or 2 x 12 and 2 x 10. Just personal preference. Shorter and lighter on the outsides. Longest in the center
I run all the same...I use 14 footers
All 14
All 14!
All 16 for me
All the same for me, 14 foot Southern Crappie's are proving to be a good rod.
all 14's BnM PST's. been good to me....got 8 of em with no problems....
The ones to the side could be shorter , with no down side .:popcorn
No!!!!!!!
I've done it with no problems. I use 16's and I have a set of 14's for my wife. If I go by myself I'll mix them. I don't worry too much about alternating them.
Well, there you go. Thanks guys....besides the fish don't how long your pole is!! (don't go there...)
I would use them mixed if that is what I have . Pay no attention to Bill . Man has so much money he pays folks to tote his boat to the ramp on muddy days to keep from getting his new tires dirty ! lol:biggrin
Eagle, That right there is funny.
I use 14s in position 1 and 4 and 12s in 2 and 3 on each side. It gives me more even spacing where my line hits the water. I use B&M Capps & Coleman's. I do a better job fishing 8 poles than I do running 10. It's hard, especially when the bite is light, to watch 5 poles.
