I have bought minnows by the pound at J & L Market when I'm going to Ky Lake. They are on the south end of Barren River Lake. I've seen them bagging and shooting oxygen into the bags, just not sure if they ship. https://local.yahoo.com/info-1537158...et-scottsville
Couple of places here in Lexington do, but may be a longer ride than to L-ville for you.

Backwater Outfitters ... E New Circle Rd (266-4506)
PDQ Market ... E New Circle Rd (254-3519)
These are the only two I'm familiar with, and since it's been awhile since I've bought minnows from either place ... I would call them and check on availability (& store hrs).

About as good as any other time, IMHO :ThumbsUp
You might consider coming to the Spring Fling on Apr 25th & find out !! But, I'd avoid the lake on Apr 18th ... CUSA SuperEvent Tourney will be going on .... PLUS the usual weekend warriors & yahoos. I'm just hoping the lake will have settled down by the 25th :Rofl

Bimbo,
If we don't get a bunch of rain they will be holding the lake for summer pool at that time. Fish will be moving shallow so any wood cover you see/or find will hold fish. But the 3rd weekend of April there is a 2day CrappieUSA tournament.
