Am in Texas for a few more days right now but am gonna be going after them as soon as I get back.
Under penalty of having my old dog tags stamped "No Cookies".... I Can Not comment on Marble eyes that might be on the face of the dam early in the morning and at sun down using a bone white shallow diving crankbait.....:hatchet:

Friend of a friend had a 27 incher at Clinton a couple nights ago.
I saw the nets are out in hillsdale, has anybody been yet?
Man. I always want to go find walleyes but i dont know how. What are preferred methods and times? My buddy said after sunset and use a floating stick tiger fire bait. Others say worm on a bobber.
Advice?
I've only had luck throwing curly tail jigs. But I'm experimenting with bottom bouncers with spinner rigs or floating jig heads. But I as well could use some advice

Post spawn is tough. They are resting up from the spawn and moving back to the flats. I've never had much luck until they get back on the flats and start feeding again.Quote:

Just got back from Hillsdale, they were milking some real nice walleye.
I was at Hillsdale for a couple hours this morning, of course they were checking the nets :banghead I'm sure that didn't help what little confidence I had in what I was doing. Had one fish about jerk the rod out of my hands fishing a rattle trap but didn't touch it with the hooks. Some day maybe I'll actually catch a walleye out there.
Went for a couple hours last night picked up 4 total with two keepers. Both males! Milford
Went to Hillsdale last night, missed 2 and my buddy caught 1 keeper. The nets were still out. I heard a couple boats catching a few as well
Buddy and I got into some fishing jerkbaits at Melvern. Caught 6, all keepers from 18 to 20 something (board only goes to 18").

Plan on going to HD dam tonight after work. Was going to take the boat but the wind is suppose to pick up to 20+ after 4:00pm so we decided to fish from the bank instead of fighting the wind from the boat. Hope I have a follow up report with pics of some nice Walleye.
