Last 2 days of vacation
Went back below the dam Wednesday with a friend and Thursday with my son. The bite has really slowed. From 25 crappie on Monday, we fell off to just 11 keepers on Wednesday. Not nearly the number of fish on the graph. Thinking it was just a slow day we tried again on Thursday and found nothing. Just dinks and a few small white bass. Ended up salvaging the trip down lake. We found a huge school of crappie in 22-25 FOW off of a bluff and stayed all day. We ended up keeping 25 over 10 inches but nothing big. Everything was 3 ft off the bottom using 2 jigs 1/8 over 1/4. Best colors were pearl blue e-chicken and anything dark with a chartreuse tail. Nothing really worth taking picks especially after dark in the rain. Spent the day with my son so it was all good.

Good job Jeff talked to my son yesterday hoping to get him out soon. Sure do appreciate the times he can get away with me. Bet you understand that congrats and good fishing to you.

It's hard to get out with Bryce. He manages a Walmart pharmacy and had 2 sons age 3 (almost) and 6 months and I work full time as a pharmacist as well. These trips are special to us so we try to make the most of them.
