Pond completely open!! I caught a fish first cast with the coontail!!!! 27 first hour!!! Dinner was a feast!!!
Talked with Park Rangers station at Evergreen still have ice fisherman on lake with 10" of ice last weekend. Prediction will not be upcoming weekend but following will be open!
Excellent news. What I figured and am planning on. This weekend I finish all my boat/trailer work that I put off all winter. It'll be my shakedown run for the upcoming season. Test out some new gear, techniques, etc. Make sure I have everything in the boat.
March 28th is my first Crappie Tournament. Last year I drove 1.5hrs only to turn around and drive home to get my life jackets. 1.5hr trip turned into 4.5 hours.
