I'm wanting to start pulling crankbaits this summer. What's your opinions on the Arkie crankbaits I like the price but don't want to waste money on something that won't work. The colors are close to bandits Thanks

Mike, they are an excellent PUSHING crankbait but a little small for pulling, just work better pushing and yes they work well. Arkie will have some bigger cranks out the end of March or so and they will run a lot like a Bandit 300, gonna have several CUSTOM colors by our own ScottV from the MS board.
I spent three weeks testing and figuring the depth curve on the NEW Arkie 350 crankbaits that John is talking about and I can tell you this....They run true out of the box, they have a great wiggle, they dive faster than most and have a little wider wiggle. Great colors too. And the price is gonna be right. Should be out end of March or , by mid April.
Ok I'll wait until they come out and give them a try. Can you get buy with just a 300 series bait or do you need the different sizes. Like the 100 and 200 series. Thanks
You will be just fine with the 300 series.

Ok thanks for the help.
I have used the cranks for pushing last year and caught good fish on them.
I don't know anything about the bigger crank they are coming out with as I guess I am out of the loop. Glad to see other folks still trying and fishing the product.
I pulled the small ones last year and they produced
I'm going to order a few of the small ones and wait and order a few of
the bigger ones hoping to try them this summer
they will catch fish
Not LIKE....LOVE THEMAttachment 193834
So, what is the best/better bait to pull?
Yes Rees that's the pro model tubes because as we both know size does matter [emoji6]
They look good
It says 2/6 foot deep is that deep enough. Or a way to get them deeper
If your talking about the small Arkie crankbaits......You have to push them, not pull them......you control the depth with a 3 OZ weight. You can run it at any depth you want that way. The new larger crankbaits that Arkie is coming out with can be pushed with a weight.....or pulled without a weight controlling depth by length of line out like you do a Bandit.
The depth range on the crankbait packages is what they run if you cast and retrieve. Depth is different trolling at 1.8 mph. Precision trolling has a depth chart you can buy for the different cranks.
ok i that makes sense. I got a trolling book can't rem name but it has different bait and tells how deep they run at different speeds line is out. Thanks for the help.
350 Series Diver Crankbaits are live on the website! Find them here: Arkie 350 Series Crankbait
The small Arkie crankbaits can be pulled with a weight in front of them. I don't know about the larger Arkie cranks as my partner and I don't have any other them.
or pull them with a 3 way setup....or a Dubuque rig
Having field tested the new Arkie 350's for Arkie during the development and proto type stage.....I can tell you....they are a great crankbait.
They look like great baits
The colors are awesome, may be a little early but I will be pulling em just as soon as my shipment gets here!!!!!:biggrin
Great news, started using arkie
They look good will they dive the same depth as bandits. This hobby could get expensive lol
Thanks do you know if they will sale them in Walmart or online only. Reason I ask Walmart carries a lot of there stuff
Also interested as I buy all my Arkie stuff at the local walmart
If your local Walmart does not have the Arkie products that you want....You can buy them on line. Arkie 350 Series Crankbait
I am sure they will but it probably will not be soon as they have already ordered for right now. So it could be later on this year or maybe next year. But you can order them from Arkie Arkie 350 Series Crankbait
Hey, Mike1234 and Matzilla
Thanks for your question. Yes Walmart does carry some of our stuff. We have done business with them since Sam had 11 stores.
We also sell to lots of independent dealers.
Understand that this is a very, very new item, and is just now available, on a limited basis. Yes, we have made it available to Walmart. And many other independent dealers.
Understand the process here, that if walmart does carry this item, in the color that you want, it will be spring of 2016 before its available. We at Arkie appreciate the everyone at Crappie . com, and the input we have gotten from the members here. The field testing form "G" and custom paint colors from ScottyV played a huge role in the development of these baits. And its because of this, the input, testing, painting and suggestions of crappie.com members that they are mentioned here first. We listened to what the members of this site wanted, built it, tested it, and got it right. If you have a retailer near you, just have them contact us. we have an amazing program for them, and you'll have your baits in a few days, and save a few bucks doing so. Or, as always, check us out online!
Thanks for your interest! We appreciate it.
