Don't know about the jigs but I use the live ones all the time. Cant beat them on a jig or no. 4 gold hook under a cork. I hardly ever fish without them.
Where and how do you catch them Charles Ray? I've heard of an older gentleman talk about using them. He said that they work very well. I've wanted to try them but have never experimented with trying to catch them.
Jenny's jigs make them they work pretty good with the crappie trailer on them

Yes but I have to take the wife tomorrow. I went buy her some shiners over in Raceland, looks like I will have to set up a tank here at home so I don't have to drive so far.
