Crappie night at Dooleys
I meant to post this earlier in the week but let time get away. Dooley's Sport Shop in Lexington is having their annual Crappie night fish fry and sale. They have a spin the wheel at the register. You spin it and get whatever discount it stops on. Minimum discount is 20% up to 50% off. Drawing for prizes also.
He has some of the Shimano 1000 and 2000 reels for $14. With the discount they will be at least $2.80 off so I plan to grab a couple and some terminal tackle too. Have to see what else he puts together that I don't need but may buy anyway.
5 til 8PM, Y'all come. I'll have my Crappie.com hat on.

If you try the fish fry, you might be eating an Oscar. I took several bags to them for the fry, with some being Oscars.

Good seeing OB and a couple of friends from our Wildlife Chapter as well. Ate too much but that was part of the plan. Had a pocket full of tickets from everybody and came within one number but no luck.
I bought a couple of the Shimano 1000s for $12 but they may a bit heavier than I prefer, so if anybody is a big fan of them I will part with them for what I paid for them, still in the box.

Sounds like a good fish fry and a good time.

I thought that someone stated that Dooley's was going out of business, sure hope I was wrong. I heard the other shop on shore road has closed down.

The business is for sale' but Charles will run it until it sells. I hold my beath each time I go by afraid of a SOLD sign. The store on shore road did close. Only lasted bout a year. Lot of front debt probably got them. Spent a lot building from scratch.
