This winter has been a rough one. Maybe the worst in my 69 years. Spring will come and the slabs will be ready and so will I.

Blah, no more snow. We dont have it nearly as bad as you guys but itis snowing again here. I cant wait for those spring slabs either!

I feel for you folks in the north east man have you had it rough....i feel for you too eagle i aint likin that white stuff in Ms i'm usually pumped to come your way in a couple weeks but that aint gonna happen this year.....

Yup. It's not been nice the last couple o years, for sure. I'm thinking if this pattern persists there may be some investment opportunities for ice fishing gear down south. :biggrin
Is it true that you get accustomed to the cold and snow, or just another myth??

Feeding Snowy Egrets and Blue Herons in my back yard. Sorry, but I do feel your pain. The muscles in my back started to tighten up a little seeing that driveway picture! doh
Bee, I know the warmer it gets, the faster that snow will melt, but how long does it usually take that much snow to melt? Should you be looking at grass by the end of March?
I think it could go in like 3 weeks time if it would ever warm up. This snow has no water in it. It all came as dry powder. If we could get some fog and wind that would eat it. Last thing we need is rain. Even the salt water is froze up here. First of April would be ok. Ice out won,t come till maybe the 15th of April. I hopeQuote:

It is very easy to adjust to the cold, just spend some time in it. Dress in layers, don't overheat and stay dry. Some of the best crappie and bluegill fishing in the Midwest takes place from Thanksgiving to Easter when most people are inside complaining about the weather lol
I was feeling bad till I saw those pics.
I helped a co- worker shovel his driveway this morning. 9 inches of snow was plenty. Don't even want to think about that much.
Ed, the wife and I are coming down to spend the winter with ya next year.
Guess Ill stop complaining about our winter after seeing those pictures...ah who am i kidding..no I won't..:biggrin
