I heard they was building one across from the Target in OB
I went to the grand opening in Collierville. Was told a store in Southaven would be next year when they found a location. They opened one in Bartlett instead.
My daughter called as soon as they won the contract for construction in Olive Branch.
Oh,,, happy day!
They are fixing to build one in Tupelo also
Now all Tupelo needs is a boat dealer
I wish we could get a academy or somethin down in the grenada area..... we have to go to jackson or memphis / southaven unless you want to shop wally world or lakeway.
I like that, but I hope they don't run Sportsman's Warehouse out. Sportsman's sometimes has a decent selection of reloading supplies and I'll miss it dearly if it goes away.
I grew up going to Academy in Texas they are a awesome sporting goods store with a huge fishing department looking forward to the Tupelo Academy opening
My last 3 trip to BPS with a shopping list, I left empty handed.
I hate shopping at BPS. Academy is much better.
I just got a $175 Abu Garcia Villian spinning rod for $59 at Sportsmans warehouse. They seem to have what is needed.
Yep I tried 2 yr. ago over in w. Memphis and beat that price enough to pay MS tax on $18K outfit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Over in BAMA
I called Academy a few days ago. They said the OB store was slated to open in April. That has been pushed back to July. I look forward to their open. May even try for a part time job.
On a face book group a person said the Collierville store was clearing shelf space for reloading supplies. Hope they carry more than primers and a few tools.
The Collierville store is almost a dog gone shoe store. Is that the norm for Academy?
The Academy in Lake Charles, La. is a joke. I never find what I need there. They stocked the crappie section about three years ago and haven't added anything since. However the one in Lafayette, La. is really good. Lots of crappie lures and rods.
cricket,,,,, if your looking for reloading stuff,, check out Avery Superstore in Memphis,,,,355 Cumberland Rd.....Right now they are selling off everything to pay the bills sorta thing,,,,They are selling even their guns right now at cost.... I just picked up a savage 220 slug gun in stainless and Camo for like $530 bucks,,,Anyway,, they had a huge inventory of reloading stuff at prices that even bass pro counted beat,,,
Thanks. I didn't even know about the Avery Superstore. Was going to be in that area tonight, but my plans just changed. Hopefully I can get up that way in the next few days.
cricket,,,, My buddy Tim used to run the gun dept and he did a jam up job with inventory and buying things guys needed and wanted for range shooting and just plain Ol reloading,,,, He was a comepetetion shooter himself,,,Once Tim found out owners split ways, He decided to give them his notice and is no longer there,,, But the prices are crazy low now.. Well worth the time to go check out what they have,, If your looking for anything you can't see,,,, He keeps powder in back of store in powder room if it's not out front,, so ask before you give up on finding something,,, same thing with the handguns,,, They keep them in rear in safe area... Glocks for like $525.. Smokin deals
Thanks for telling bout Avery. I am looking for a shotgun for my son. I will go by there tomorrow
