I guess it's time to get this ball rolling. I was going to try to bring it up at the STL dinner tomorrow night but mother nature seems to have a way of ruining our fun. So is anyone interested in another camp out this year? when and where doesn't matter to me.

If my schedule allows, I'd love to come up there. Never fished Twain but it is on my list.

My schedule is always busy in the spring.
April 19 tournament at Truman Lake
April 22-26 fish Tablerock Lake
April 30 - May 3 Truman spring camp
May 16 tournament at Truman Lake.
I wouldn't mind something in June where we have some good camping weather.
I am leaning late spring or early summer, too. My girls are much happier when they can wear shorts and flip flops and go for a swim.
Just throwing this out there, how about the week after Memorial day. Say the 29th and 30th of May and June 1st. I know there is a crappie masters that weekend at Truman if that is a problem.
Pretty sure my crew is up for a return visit. The sooner we get dates set the better chances those of us motel/resort campers can get a room. Think it would be better for most of us if it was after school is out.
I'm probably good for anytime except the second weekend in June(family commitment).

You thinking a long weekend or what? First weekend in June is bad for me but other than that I'll make every attempt to be there. Tentatively planning on being at the Twain cabin the first week of May for a smaller family crappie camp as well.
Summer would be a fun time to do it...... crankbait time!

well my family is taking a vacation the week after fathers day so that week and the week before and after is out. gonna have to check with the honey and see what her work schedule looks like, then I can put up some possible dates. Robbie, I'm going to try to make it at least a 3 day weekend, hopefully a little more.
Looks like some good dates for my family would be either May 29-31, which is the weekend after memorial day. or possibly June 12-14. I'm not against pushing it back into summer or even late summer, depending on what everyone wants to do.
The June dates look good. Or like you say later into summer whatever you pick we will do our best to get there. Thanks Greg:cheers2

We were still catching spawning fish in the middle of June last year, who knows.

So where does this get together happen at? State parks? Would definitely be interested to come up and meet some folks and talk fishing or BS.
we usually do it at the campground at the state park on 107, but we have talked about other options (I'm still open to suggestions). If we do it later in the summer, I will be inclined to get a cabin at the southfork or maybe a camper cabin at the state park, if those have AC.
Buzzards Roost campground??? We got a place on middle fork and I also have a RV. If it falls on a weekend I'm off I'll stop by or camp out.
If memory serves me, the past 2 years we camped in the puma loop at the state park. which is right there by buzzards roost. it will fall on a weekend. where are you at on middle fork? some other guys here have places over that way.
I am off those weekends you posted Greg. I will also be on vacation 5-1 through 5-12. I'll be there everyday crappie fishing(day time) and catfishing(evening/night) like I do every year. If someone who fishes MTL or any other lake who spider rigs and trolls for crappie I would like to join up with them and learn some of that style of fishing. Don't mind picking up the tab on gas, pull boat with my truck, bait, food, drinks or whatever. I am currently trying to talk the wife into letting me buy a new Terrova I pilot. Hope to have it by this summer.
still can't get the wife to commit to any dates, and if I leave her at home, she will kill me! does anybody have any summertime suggestions or comments? Hey stoney, I'm sure I will be at the lake sometime around the first week of may, almost always a good week to fish. probably will be beating the banks then, though. you need to watch for me in my boat when your at little U ramp and fishing that area. I'm known to hang out around those coves and bluffs to the west. the rod holders are always there so you'll know my boat when you see it...
