The Floats from Crappie magnet. Do not buy one you will have to have a dozen. They(crappie magnets float) designed for trout but unreal on crappie. They have a video showing how to use.
I use nothing but wagglers. Most of mine are English or French wagglers, but the Thill wagglers (Lindy) work fine, too.
Wal Mart.
I am with cane pole the cheapest that Walmart sells at that time.
Try "Wing-It" floats. Very versatile. Can be used as a slip bobber or stationary bobber without cutting the line. The design allows for easy casting too.
Betts weighted oval 1 1/2 and 2" hit a bunch on sale at Cabela's and a week later hit an ebay auction for 105 packs of them

Comal pear shaped weighted floats from Wally World they worked really good with the jig/mo's grub I fished all summer.

Little football floats
I like the comal weighted pear shaped floats... I prefer the smallest but if I need more distance I've been known to go up in size... The smallest one floats a 1/32 oz jig just fine but most of the time I'm using a 1/64 oz jig.
Thill Crappie Corks and Wobble Bobbers. The crappie corks are nice to use around docks and brush. They are sensitive when using the correct weight that's on each bobber. The Wobble Bobbers are nice to use when the fish want a lil movement in the jig without moving it yourself. Any kind of ripple on the surface gives the jig a lil wiggle. Then you can leave it in the zone and get movement without moving the jig away from the fish. Work great fishing shallow in clear water so you can stay back away from the fish and not spook them, but give a more vertical jigging presentation.
My favorite ones are OP's (other peoples) :Rofl
Those are the "free" ones I find hanging in trees, washed up on the bank, or hung on underwater wood.
Who makes them ?? Most I find are the Comal pear shaped & cigar shaped styrofoam, or Thill styrofoam pear/oval shaped ones. I don't much care for the spring end style floats, so I leave them for someone else. :)

I have a variety different floats have different action. All depends on what I'm doing.
If you ever try another bobber for the last time you have to get yourself a few ESB's or Everlasting Slip Bobber....The Everlasting Slip Bobber - the world's finest slip bobber! The BEST bobber I have ever owned and have never had one fade or break or have any issues what so ever, and I fish with them ALL the time! I will continue to buy (if I ever need to again) from them only. The bobbrs are perfect and well made with metal in the stem that lasts! Trust me. Try tem out. You'll never get another bobber again. I can guarantee.

I must collect floats. I have a box full. Mostly Thill with some Mr Crappie weighted floats thrown in. I like the wing it floats also. I bought two of the Rocket Bobbers in the panfish size but haven't used them.
These are my favorite floats. Each has a purpose. Walmart and Thill.

The floats from crappie magnet work great with a 1/32 hair jig, but my all time favorite is a plain old cork drilled and lined with a small straw that my Dad used to make.
Floats in trees=good place to fish. Sometimes I just hang a few up in a bad place to fish to throw people off. I usually leave the spring end ones hanging cause most people don't want those:biggrin
Someone needs to put Fatman on the float pro staff. Awesome collection dude.
I use the trout, strike indicators from Chuck and Debs. Great prices great floats.
Kick - hold on to the ones you have, I was reading that the metal tips he use's went up big time in price and he's looking for something else to match. trying to think where I saw it!
RCC - that's only a couple of the pictures It would take another 5-6 to show them all!!LOL The wife thought I was really going off the deep end!!LOL The one's I got in the deal on ebay cost me $10 + shipping and that to me was a steal!!!!!!!!
This is another one of them only to show how long the guy I got them from on ebay had them - look at the price tags!!LOL

NBW (nothing but wagglers). Those are various Thill wagglers at the bottom, big English wagglers just above them, a mix of English and French wagglers above them, and a special waggler called a "windbeater" at the top.
Mostly pole floats with various Thills mixed in. The two bottom left compartments are river floats.
English pole floats. That's a river float on the left, a dibber (very shallow water) on the right, and two basic stillwater floats in the middle.
You float guru's are awesome. I never knew so many types and brands existed.
The "Wing-It" type are both aero- and hydrodynamic; ie they cast 1/3rd farther than most other bobbers using a given weight AND require less force to submerge than conventional bobbers. Lastly rig a "Wing-It' and then any other bobber you wish, set a bucket out and from equal distances try 5 casts to get the bobbers INTO the bucket...the "Wing-It" type is far more accurate because of it`s dart like (aerodynamic) shape...
Impressive collection of floats for sure.
Waggler close up. Starting from the right, that's a big English loaded waggler, then two Thill wagglers, then a French loaded waggler, then the windbeater.
River floats. The four on the right are English "Avon" floats. The others are pole floats.
More pole floats (all for stillwaters.)
dbd you have a float addiction...:) Your now officially the Crappie.com float addiction President
I use the Camal weighted float . I take them apart and cut the weight in half with a jigsaw blade. I put them back together with one half on top and the other half on the bottom of the float. The float sits up perfect with a 1/16 & 1/32 jig or two 1/24 jigs. The reason that I do this is because in the winter time , the crappie will suck on the jig or just hold on to it. If you use the standard Camal weighted float, you will never see the bite. These floats never fill up with water , like standard plastic floats and you can cast farther , especially in the wind.
Thanks everyone for your valuable insight! Way more than I could have hoped for. What a great resource!!!!
Some have eluded to it already, however each float has slightly different rigging needs, and different applications. When I'm using my Linenkugal beer can float, I don't care about fishing. At that point it's all about the beer.

I tried those Mr Crappie slip bobbers,I like those pretty well
dbd - you take out a loan to buy all those up!!!!LOL That's some serious bucks in floats!!
So, what's the problem? Everybody has three mortgages nowadays!

I believe Comal Tackle is the largest float maker in the world. They facility is only a few miles from me. I have been to their factory and have hundreds of their floats. They make every conceivable style for fresh and salt water. The people are great and their products are excellent for the money. You can contact them about specific styles. They generally are the ones that make them, anyway, so they will tell you who sells them in your area.
