Lowrance HDS 9 Touch Screen

Where is the best place to buy one, as in price, service, ect? I prefer to buy online to avoid sales tax if possible. Thanks.

Kicking myself for not buying a 1199 from them a couple weeks ago. With the rebate it would have been $1586. It was just not good timing. The last batch they got in was about $100 more.

BRM and Meatgetter, maybe I'm clueless, but I've been on shut -up -and fish 's website and I can't find anything related to Lowrance products. Do you think they've stopped carrying them?

Thanks guys, I had seen earlier that Lowrance had a $300 rebate available. Some other questions though, Lowrance shows an HDS-9m Gen2 Touch and a HDS-9 Gen 2 Touch. Does anybody know what the difference is, or what the "m" stands for? Also I assume the 83/200Khz transducer is the one I want, and that I don't need the bundle with structure scan, or do I?

you do need the bundle with structure scan but if you buying 2 units you will only need 1 LSS2 transducer

this is why u need to talk with someone and tell what all you want out of your units , where they be mounted and theycan tell you what if any extra transducers or either net cables or whatever you might need, i ended up getting just a skimmer 83/200 455/800 trasducer for trolling motor so i could see what was right user front of boat and run the two 83/200 and the LSS2 off the back of boat as well

Thanks Greg, My plan is to leave my current Elite 5 DSI at the front of the boat and put this one at the console until I can get another unit for the front. I'm pretty certain that the DSI unit can't be either netted to the new unit. But like you said I probably need to talk to Brian or David so they can help me know what to get so it will do what I want. There are so many options to choose from, I'll admit it's confusing.

If it isn't a HDS unit, you can't network it. You will need the bundle to get the SS ducer.

I've never seen the m designator on the touch units. Was the price lower in the m unit? If so, it might be remanufactured.

No it was $50 more. It is listed on Lowrance's website.

Well you stumped me for a minute. I was thinking who on c.c has ever been to my office? Then I saw all those slabs in your picture, and thought I know who that is. Hopefully the weather cooperates and I'll see you Monday and we'll pick up another boat load.
