Darbonne fish report 2/14/15

What a day today. Couldn't have asked for a more awesome day to go fishing. Love seeing God's sunrises.

Things got got even better when those big ole Sacs started to bite. I was pumped.

Never fished the channel today all fish were caught in 10 to 12 foot of water. Seen some water temps near 60 degrees. Blue Thunder and Bluegrass was the key color for me. Caught some fish as shallow as 6 feet deep. Don't know the exact number of fish caught because I lost count but we keep 29.

O.M.G. I think I just cried a little when I saw that ice chest :yikes Maybe I'll have a pic like that one day myself. Lol congrats on the catch. Wife would have had my hide if I'd tried to go fishing on V day. Maybe one day soon.

Is that the flat just below the Hwy. 2 bridge. Been trying to go for a while, but can't get the boat out of the yard. Have to find a new place to park it. Be another week before I could possibly go and this weather we are supposed to get in a couple of days will probably mess that up for me.

Yeah that was the flat just below Hwy 2. Bluegrass was the magic color. No spider rig for me. I fished two jig poles one in each hand from daylight till about 11. Then swapped to a runner on a ultra light till 4pm.
