How would you fish for crappie if you only had one choice?:yikes
spider rigging - with-without minnows - ect.
trolling - hard baits - roadrunners-ect.
jigging
drop shotting
casting with a cork
casting with jigs
with minnows - without minnows
ect. I know they are many more:dono
Just how if you only had one choice and that was the only one you could ever do the rest of your life.:fish

Spider rigging with jig's tipped with minnow.
No doubt here I verticle jig with an 11' jig pole using tube jigs (Southern Pro) or hand ties (MEATGETTER) no minnows for me.
cray, be kinda' hard spider rigging back in that standing timber though wouldn't it?

Yes it is. But I'm looking at year round for the rest of my life. So these lakes we fish year round lend themselfs to spider rigging in open water. Kinda hard to single pole Sardis and Enid after the draw downs and more crappie schooling in open water in the summer. Now far as pure enjoyment single poling is the only way to go.Quote:

cray; You were right in a way, but there are so many ways to crappie fish now a days that when I go fishing I don't know which way I want to try to catch crappie. I think I have watched too many crappie video's and read way to many posts here on the crappie web sites this past winter. Seeing and reading about people catching a limit of 12" to 17" crappie with different techniques and styles. It's just hard to do even one without wanting to try another. I only have 2 hands and when spider fishing with 6 poles at one time. It's hard to pickup a casting rod and cast it at the same time or try to jig with another. I think that is what they call "multitasking":juggle or was it multicasting anyway I figured if I could I would find out how people would fish if they only was allowed just one way to crappie fish. Casting jigs for me
Going with the single pole jigging crowd. From that set up you can cast, dock shoot, float and fly, and be versitle between fishing from a boat or bank. Not knocking any of the trolling techniques but you have to have a boat to employ them.
Two pole jigging. With braid.
Longlining. Here in central Florida it is the most effective method for me year round. Shallow lakes with very limited structure/cover away from the shoreline.
Hard choice, but it nothing like feeling the bite and tug while jigging! Love working stumps and tops.
