Nice.....
I love it!!
Hey Capt, they eat it in the clear water too?
Yeah...but not as good as stained...in clearer water the white blue white and the black white yellow have been real good in the past...OH...and pink white pink!!!
Best colors I've found for stained pre spawn fishing is sexy red bug, / black blue sparkle black / black dark green sparkle black / black purple sparkle black
Thats alot like Kentucky Lake Killer with a fluorescent yellow head..
I have been killing them with that color combo for years.;)
Dutch, on the forum last season you talked about a blue flake, gold glitter, something another grub(it has about 4 names) that I ordered last year during pulling season. I was waiting to meet you and say thanks for the advice. Them Oconee fish wore the paint off the jig heads on the ones I had that grub on. I got a box full of them, but don't remember the name, but thanks for the info!!
This it? Smoke Blue & Gold Sparkle/ Clear Gold Sparkle....we call it Hollywood and its another of my go to colors with a pink head.Attachment 190412
THATS IT!!! Hollywood is a good name for it.
I thank it is call baby-brim
you bet!!! big fish heads and were out with 2 boats of customers last year and he said..."Hey!!! , you got any of these blue green gold flake super duper sparkley ones?"..I JUST TORE MY LAST ONE UP!!!!....I held up a pack and said ...THESE????...His eyes got big as saucers....As 2 fish were on at once and we kept Rollin on by......Hhhehehe.....ALL I HEARD WAS NOOOOOOO! nooooooo!!! And a little mumbling and CUSSIN.....hehehe....we sure like to pick on each other!!! That's an awesome color on Oconee!!!
I agree! One of my favorites! I bought a bunch of plastics from eBay that someone was selling. Got like 40lbs. of plastics cheap. Kept what I wanted and sold the rest. Ended up paying $10 for 25lbs. of plastics. It had 2 sandwich bags stuffed full of that color!
Anyone ever use the tensil ones?
I like jj19
Orange blue tensil tail.
Figure I better ask if there any good before I order.
Flint river outdoors has some like that jiffy jig . can`t remember the name . Brad Mc Daniel on here his # is 1 229 273 7909
I'm curious??? By using this site are we only allowed to buy from sponsors or fellow forum anglers. I'm just curious is all. Every time I bring up a bait someone drops a sponsors name or posts the number of someone on the forums.
Some of us don't want to or can't afford to pay the outrageous prices some of these sites charge for shipping.
Like Arkie for example. I was thinking of ordering a few of their bluegill jigs to tryout. They're $2 for a two pack. I was going to get 2. The cheapest shipping for was $8 for a flat rate box. :yikes
That's crazy.
Plus I ship things now and again and I know flat rate boxes ship for way less than that. My last one shipped for $6.45. So where's the extra $1.50 going?
One of the reasons I buy my tackle from eBay is they have free shipping which helps cut down on expenses.
You can call me cheap. That's fine. I just don't see how these companies can charge so much for shipping.
you can buy from anyone you want to i was giving you a info where to find the name and ask your bait shop to order some
you can call brad and get the name and most any bait shop in your area might have them .
that is when i would order bulk the shipping is the same up to a certain amount . .
Yeah but if I've never used something before why would I order bulk?
Only reason I ask about jiffy jigs I cuz I've used some but not the tensil ones.
I'm not going to order anything in bulk unless its a proven fish catcher on my rod
No matter how much someone tries to sell me on them in thread and pm.
That's why I've asked that question before, and now I feel like I'm being pressured to by your friends product. Which is totally unfair.
just letting you know where to get them . that jig works good on lake blackshear here in Ga . they do good for dock shooting here .
So basically jiffy jigs pale in comparison to baby bream becuz baby brim is made by a forum member.
we are a site that crappie fish and give information to members that ask and we do patronize the members that make jigs . we don`t push anything on anyone .that jig is like the Hal Fly and they are made in another country . the one that makes the jig i was talking about i don`t know if he is a member or not .
Which jig is made overseas?
If you were talking about jiffy jigs they are made in the USA.
But it does appear you're pushing sponsor and forum member product.
I have made three threads asking about a particular baits and all three have turned into promos for sponsors.
i was referring to Hal-Fly . i assure we are not pushing any one product just trying to help a member find a product and that is what we use .
some times they will hit anything and then it has to be the right color and the size . i have used a 1/8 no bites and went to 1/16 and 1/24 Th they would hit nearly every cast or go to minnow and they seamed to hit better . you just have to try different size and color . have saw where the line size made a difference . . crappie is one fish that is hard to figure out .
Lemmylemon if you don't buy our product you will never catch any crappie. LOL.
Don't forget, you have to have, no you must have Crappie.com's own SLABSAUCE. You can buy it here: SLABSAUCE Spray on Fish Attractant
You can only buy products from Site Sponsors or Crappie.com, it's in the rules.
NOT
Anyone can buy anything they want. It's your money. Don't feel pressured to buy anything, period.
And yes, the Slabsauce really does work, but that's a topic for another day.
This scent has been a long time project here on Crappie.com. We've done pastes before but it does not stay on as good as the current oil based scent. The paste would just fall off. We did have a gelatin based version called Gewbers. But it's difficult to make and at this time it is not available. I do plan to re-introduce it at some point.
And the scent is just a side line project. Not a big deal, don't feel pressure to buy it. But check out the videos in our video section, they show first hand that it's pretty good stuff: http://www.crappie.com/crappie/list....ishing-Video-s
Actual name of that grub is “baby bream”
