My luck have been bad, been to lacygne few times the power plant is not running. So there is no hot water discharge. It seem like everytime I go it just shut it down for me. Is there any way I can find out if it is running before I go?

prolly down for mtc. there is a guy who works at wolf creek maybe he can find out i am gonna try
I think its been down for a while.
damn, no more winter lacygne, by the way how do we find out if it is running?
Rumor has it that they broke someone in the plant and are waiting for parts to fix it, no word on how long that will take. You can call the marina the day/morning before you drive out there and they'll tell you if there's smoke coming out of the stack but haven't found anywhere with a generation schedule.
I went on Mondays and the marina is close on monday. I will try call in Sunday next time.
Coffey County lake has no hot water either as the plant is down for scheduled outage
Lycygne down wolf creek down , where we get all the power from?
okay my bad thought it was down now. Beat me with a wet noodle.
ok, I miss that post.
La Cygne is blowing steam from the stack...as of right now
there were steam from the big white stack when I was there but there is no hot water.
I'll post on the message board when it shuts down. I am gonna try to hit it once before we shut it down for outage. Outage is scheduled for 52 days but I'll believe it when I see it.
Birdgod,
There are numerous plants out there that are not affiliated with a utility. You can buy electricity from them or from a utility with excess to sell. It just usually costs more than to produce it yourself.
Wolf Creek was high 50's to low 60's everywhere in the outlet area. Bass were biting well but other than a drum that was all we caught.
Lot of smoke coming out of one stack yesterday.
