There are some fish being caught around the piers. Not every pier. You have to find one with a decent supply brush.
Good luck if you go.
Have you considered Midway?
Tried Midway last spring. Caught a Gar..... Last time I was at Horseshoe, we caught everything deep. Is this still the case? Thought about Lake Pointsett but haven't tried it yet.
I haven't been in the past 10 days or so but last time I was there, 10 feet and deeper
X2 on the depth. We found them last week around 12-14ft.
The pumps are on now so not sure what the rising water will do to em.
That rising water won't hurt em. I"d like to see the water temp stay down around 40. Keeps them boogers down there and bunched up!!

pretty low.
A friend caught a bunch of slabs at Bear Creek last week fishing 29 ft. deep. Said they quit biting around 9:00 am.
We fished Poinsett last week and were heading for Hogue ourselves until we found out the water was too low to launch. Poinsett got beat like a drum last year and it sure ain't been the same since. Been wanting to try Bear Creek.
I hear the bite at Bear Creek has been early and late.
