Look out crappie.....
Ripinlips and jigfisherx have joined forces. After talking about it for 6 months, we finally met for a fishing trip. Met below the dam at 7am to start. We caught a few fish, but by noon we had 6 small keepers and had lost the bite. Loaded up for a samich and some creek fishing on Truman. We tried spider rigging but the wind was just impossible. After breaking a rod and getting no bites, we changed tactics and started casting jigs. Richard tried a BF stroller and that was the ticket. All fish were on a bank about 200 yards long but we could run back down wind and run the bank again. We ended up with 2 limits with nothing under 10 inches and most over 11 inches. Richard had a nice 13 inch black and my best was a 14.5 inch white. Great day and made a new friend to boot.Attachment 188269Attachment 188270

Way to figure the pattern out. You could have called it a day early but you two hung in there. Congrats on two limits on a tough day.

Sweet. Got your message with results but was to late to call you back. Sounds like a fun trip after the move. It's tough to make the on the water decision to either completely pack up to move spots or to try other methods, depths and colors where you are. I have done it and still not caught fish but more times than not I stuck it our where I was and still did not catch anything. Then wish later I would have made the move.

Wow what a day for you two!! Good job on the nice fish.

Yee Yee. How deep were they?

On the drop off in a creek. Channel was 12 FOW most bites were about 6 to 8 down. Some were shallow but that was on Wednesday when it was 70. This cold front will have every thing messed up for a while.
