Last year I went down 55 to Grenada and cut across. I came back 61 and that was better I think. Not sure of time it took.
61 all the way for me, but I'm coming from AR. I cut across at Batesville to Clarksdale when going to or from Sardis.

3 hours if not in too much of a hurry.
Went down 55 and came back 61 also last year. 61 was a much better drive. About 3 hr's.
61 all the way from Tunica. Just make sure to have a cold Diet Coke available for Mr. Greenjeans when he stops you out on the highway 20 miles from the lake ;)
