How in the world did you do that? Looks like maybe you could grind that down, round the edge and paint it.
If you find the right shop, that can be welded back but they have to know what they are doing so they don't damage the seals or foot.
An inexpensive cosmetic fix would be to install a small hydro foil on the cav plate.........
it wasn't hard "pardon the pun" bounced into some big boulders ikes!
U know thats what i was thinking!Man your sharp as tack thanks....... and thanks for being a member....
Yeah! they want a hundred sixtyfive bucks to 400.00 dollars.Thought about it and @ my age no Buddy,i'm gonna fix it myself.
Thanks Bill! that's an idea i can entertain...... as to the inquiry on how i accomplished this it's self explanatory u know what happens!
Years ago I had a boat that was under powered and back then all you could really find was the big hydrofoils for large engines.......So I fabricated my own out of a piece of thin plate stainless steel. I made it smaller than most you can buy nowaday's but it worked great. really improved the holeshot and did not loose any top end speed...
the dole fin brand is pretty inexpensive and works great! Will fit motors of all sizes. I took one off an old 25 and put it on my 19 ft CC with a 115hp...changed the ride of the boat to the good by 100%...They're awesome!
I've had dole fin on every boat I've ever owned. I swear by them. Would work pretty good in your current position
only problem with a doel fin in this case is it won't cover the break... or I should say hide the break.
Thanks! midcarolina i really appreciate your knowledge sharing.........
i'll be checking those out today on-line will let u know what think about it........... Super Thanks!
Man u guys are great! i knew i joined the right forum....... Thanks a million bro.....long-live CRAPPIE.COM
well, i bought the dole fin hombres $27.00 and free shipping on e-bay @ a price like that i'm thinking about becoming a distributor lol...........
point well taken ........will post pics
i decided to buy the doel fin if it makes the break a lot less noticeable and aids in the performance of the craft.........well enough, hope the fish don't mind.
Awesome. Hope it works well for you.
