Good Eats

Lori and I were going to Como last night for supper, but the line outside was loooooong at the steakhouse. We had heard from Yikes that Sardis Steak And Seafood was good so we decided to give em a try.

Man, what a pleasant Surprise!!!!!! We both had a big 24oz Ribeye, and without question, they were as good as or better than the Other Place!!!!! Nice, clean, quiet, quant little place with an unusual combination of Seafood, Sushi, Fried Rice, Oriental Cuisine, Catfish, Onion Rings, Pizza, and KILLER STEAKS!!! They also have s bar in the back, and a smoking section. They have plenty of room for tournament groups, and party's.

Lori and I both brought home a quart each of their clear soup!!! It was just fantastic.

Next time you're in the Sardis area fishing, you gotta give em a try!!! No long lines or huge crowds to fight, and the owners are as nice a pair of people as you'll ever meet. They WILL earn your business if you give them a shot!!!!!!! Lori and I will be back there often.

BigRiver, I have a question about the clear soup, is clear soup just hot water and salt ??

My grandpappy use to tell me how he ate clear soup when he was a kid in the depression

On the left as you are headed toward the dam leaving the town of Sardis and it is very good.

I'm not sure Bill but I think the owner use to be a part owner of the Como Steakhouse. I agree about their steaks, they are second to none. Plus, they are just very nice people. Sat, when you go into Sardis, west of I-55, you will come to a 4 way stop in the middle of town. The restaurant is across the street on the left at the 4 way. I think it is named The Spillway Bar and Grill or something similar.

I didn't think that was the right location John gave. There is a restaurant there, think it's a catfish place. We went looking the last time we were there and found it here.

All I know is that it's kinda clear with mushrooms, green onions sliced real fine, and chives in it. It's was delicious!!!! Seasoned with something., but not sure what. It might have been chicken broth.

Their hours of operation are Wed.-Sat. 4pm till 10pm.
