sangchris

anyone know what the water temp. is at sangchris or Clinton? may get to go tomorrow.

I went to sang sun put in at east boat ramp went on down hot ditch and water temp was consistent 43-45. I guess the plant had been off a few days. I spent most of the day fighting the wind and short fish in deeper water.

I went to Clinton today. the range of water temp. was 46* at the Mascoutin ramp to 53* near the Dewitt bridge.

went to sangchris today ,water temp 47. two short ones shallow maybe better fri.

went to sangchris today...water temp by the hot water ramp was 51...got my limit throwing a road runner jighead with draper soft plastics bodies

I had to go to springfield today and decided to tote the ol boat w me and try sangchris on the way home. The plant was running but i didnt get to far from the east ramp. I fished 4 spots all were 12-16 fow. I caught several shorts and did manage 8 keepers. Bite was quite a bit better today

Are you in the main channels or in coves? What bait did you use?

Last i went i stayed pretty close to the east ramp using a dark green/chartreuse jig on 1/4 head

As of Tuesday Clinton is open plant is running and temp near Dewitt Bridge was 53.4. I even heard there is a crappie or two being caught there LOL.

I heard the plant has been running this week im gonna try to go tomorrow morning. Im sure the plant will be shut down which seems to slow the fish down. But at least i will b fishing.

Fished today for the 1st time in 2015. Caught crappie but most were short. Water Temps 48-52. I fished 8'-12'.. was the shallow bite any better??

I caught 3 (between 7am-10am) in 4-6 ft along cove entrances. Pretty slow for me too.
