option 1....but I wouldn't fish Grenada. There is a big tournament that week I think. Option 2 could be just right or post spawn.
1 all day. Tournaments are everywhere big small dont matter. All those guys do is spider rig. That time of year you can mop up with a single pole in 2' water. If your down for 2 weeks I'd hit Grenada Enid Sardis in that order.
Never can go wrong with April 15th, if I were choosing thats what I would choose.
I agree with RG, i get back from my tx fishing vacation on the7th each yr and hit nader just rite.
Number 2
#2 @ Enid up LongBranch or Bean Creek
Either one is good.
I hope for #2, thats about the time I'm coming down.
Thanks guys. We have been coming around last week of March for four years and have had only one good trip. Seems like we either get caught up with bad weather and rising water. I think after hearing your input we are gonna try mid April and see what that happens. Do you think I will still be spider rigging or will we single poling bedded fish? I waded mid April and it was awesome.
Bring both. But should be able to catch em on a single pole.
Option #2
Quit yur job, and do both. lol Either can be killer, just depends on water level, rising/falling water, rain and wind. Tooo many variable to screw you up that time of year. Just be kind to Mother Nature and maybe she'll cooperate with you. She can be very persnickety that time of year. Mother Nature can be PMS..ing that time of year pretty bad.
Either will catch fish at that time, weather may dictate how you have to fish.
For big fish ya cant beat March on Grenada in my opinion, but March weather is sometimes unstable, April is really good for the spawn but I would much rather catch those prespawn fish.
