Was just curious if anyone plans to fish the Crappie USA tournament in March at Clark's Hill. You can fish as a semipro or amateur.

I'm thinking about fishing in it. I know ZERO about the lake and this gives me a good excuse to give it a try.
I would plan on at least a day without poles just marking structure in different depths. Crappie tend to stay deep and tight to cover up there.
Im glad you posted that. I didn't know there was one here in march but im sure gonna fish in it. When in march is it?
Seminar on 5th and fishing on 6th and 7th. It's a two day Super Event
If I'm not working I wouldn't miss this one.
I think I am gonna give it a try, thanks for the heads up.
Jcogburn, we have to go sometime.
Drill Instructor, absolutely I am still getting the hang of things and could use some of that wisdom you have up there. I will pm you my contact info.
Where would be a good place to stay that is near Wildwood Park?
Big fish city!!
There are plenty of motels on Washington road back towards Martinez and evans . There is also a Hampton Inn and WHite Columns Inn in Thomson.
TNT, Kevin Mixon and I are planning to fish the tournament.
At Kevins' Grandmas' house.
The Quality Inn I stay at every week on my route is the host hotel. They have parking and power hookups for charging.
I've never even been to a tournament like this of any sort and have no idea how they work. I looked at the brochure, but it doesn't say where they are going to put in. Does everyone put in at the same time, same place?
Also, it looks like the weigh in is quite a ways from the lake. Does everyone trailer their boats and drive to the weigh in site? Sorry for all the amateurish questions..
You would attend the sign in registration meeting on Thursday night. You can put in anywhere you choose but you must abide by the designated start time and stop at the appointed time. You must keep your fish alive for the weigh in and be in the weigh in line by a certain time. This is not all the rules but just a brief overview.
Ok thanks Earl. I was wondering how they get everybody on that lake at one. Kinda the honor system as far as the start time. Makes sense now.
