Well, they are about to really get right. I'm getting fuel at Sam's Club in Southaven for this price.
What's the Best you've seen it without a Kroger card?

Man thats cool, filled my diesel up on the way home last night and could only get 65 bucks worth in it, both tanks were below 1/4 full.
Now the Democrats are wanting to raise the fuel taxes. We've gotta pay for college educations. Lol
It's the other party that wants to raise gas taxes here.
$1.50 in Oklahoma at Wal-Mart with Wal-Mart card.
I bought it for $1.78 in east Tennessee and was thrilled. Haven't seen gas prices this low in allot of years.
about $1.80 in the delta give or take. I love filling up the 36 gallon tank at these prices! Was down to a 1/4 tank and could only fit $41 in it!
Be glad when they get through with the new Kroger gas station in Batesville.
Ours stays packed, love when I get the 20 cents a gallon off!
I hope it has room to drive around it some. The Kroger at Horn Lake rd doesn't have room if you are second in line or have a trailer. I hate to go there but it's the cheapest now. Cheapest of the Kroger stores around here.
If they offer 2x and 4x points on gift cards pick up one for another store or when you got out for dinner.
We use gas buddy dot com to check prices.
The problem with the gift card thing is that they charge 6 bux each for the cards. 100.00 card cost 106.00. To get a dollar a gallon off, you buy 5 cards at 4x the points. Cards cost you 30 bux to get 35 gallons at a dollar off. Save a whopping 5 bux.
From all of the information I get sent from several source they all expect gas to stay down for the next two yrs.
On the gift cards, the only extra I've seen is tax added. I'll watch next time I buy them.
I'll watch the next time they offer 2x or 4x points. I see what you mean. I buy a $100 card for Home Depot, with tax it will cost $107. When I use the card at Home Depot they will add tax. So a $100 card ends up costing $114. A dining card too.
Sometimes they offer 2x points for 1 day, any purchase, got to watch the ads. Drugs are always 2x points, 4x if you refill from somewhere else.
Snail mail, mine must of got lost.

It's my one place to shop. Wish they sold batteries and tires since walmart pissed us off.
We don't pay sales tax when you buy gift cards here. The tax is charged when the card is used.
Thats the same way it is here.
I don't think I paid tax on them either, but the cards were still 5.95 each. 105.95 total. If you buy 5 of them at 4x points to get the dollar off on 35 gallons, you only Really save 5.25 on that tank of gas. Less if you don't get the full 35 gallons.
I might have paid tax on the 5.95. The user doesn't get that.
Thanks Speck and Rees. I'll watch the next time I buy one.
We stopped at Kroger for a gift card to go to dinner later and I asked questions.
No tax, no surcharge on gift cards, dining or shopping cards.
Phone cards are charged tax.
Credit cards have a surcharge.
No surcharge at all on a credit card , no interest either.....Jimmy.....IF, you pay the bill in full every month
Nothing that cheap over here in Hot Springs, about $1.95 for unleaded here.
I bought the credit cards so they could use the money where they wanted to.
The pre-paid debit/credit card is what I mint.
gotya
Up here in good ole Illinois they tax and surcharge everything shoot they tax you on the tax here :hatchet:
the problem is, absolutely no one knows what the heck it's really gonna do. A few months ago the "insiders" were saying gas and oil was going out of sight and we would never again see the prices we are experiencing now. Who knows where it will be tommorow. The best thing you can do is, prepare for the worst and hope for the best!
The only thing I know for sure about gas prices is that--if I fill up today, it goes down tomorrow. If I don't fill up today, it goes up tomorrow. Go figure!!! [emoji4]
There you go Bill, never fails.
I checked gasbuddy for the gas prices around me today. The cheapest Kroger gas is West Horn Lake $1.63. The truck has a half a tank and the car is almost to the red line. My granddaughter is keeping the little girls tonight and wants food. Ah, 2 birds, one stone. Debbie doesn't like for me to fill up the car with cans, don't know when to stop. So I take the car and a trunk load of cans. I filled the car and 4 1/2 cans, 35 gallons at 0.80 off. 0.839 per gallon, haven't seen that price in a while. I got the girls Pizza Pizza and came home.
