Agree very ugly! Not sure what they were thinking.
Very ugly, lots of options (colors) you can use to make it fit your boat. The people that have ran them so far absolutely LOVE them. Lots of cool features...just not very good eye candy!
Guess I'm the odd man out. I love the look. Would even be happier if I had one. :)
We were at the field testing of the new motors for this year and all the colors were a blur at 80 mph so I thought they look great..lol
Ugly motor can still catch fish.
The ugliest thing about new motors is the price.
Appearance was designed to match style and colors of new boats. Lots of engineering was put into this one that sets it ahead of others. But my neck hurts when I read the sideways Evinrude logo. :scratchheadQuote:

Outboards are like Chicks. Even the ugly ones need lovin too. and will preform better.
I think its cool that you can get side plates to match your boat. I saw a set of camo ones the other day that looked cool. I've always said since they came out they dont look any more goofy than two power poles or Talons hanging off the back of the boat.
They look like them 7marine motors.
I took a peak at them on the Evinrude site. I own an old rude and like the looks of it better. Although things have a way of growing on us!! We will get accustomed to them sooner or later.
They need to build something that will last. I am not impressed by the looks but even if I Loved it you couldn't give me one. To each their own.
