Morning everyone is lake blackshear back to full pool.if so any fish being caught
Its at full pool, but all the reports I am getting is fishing is tough right now.
NOT what I was wanting to hear Dutch!
probably still muddy . was last weekend up the river .
Thanks Papasage!
Its been tough the past few days but I think the bite will pick up a good bit by first of the week
Are there shellcracker in that lake? I have been wanting to get on a good shellcracker bite.
If anybody is fishing blackshear this week let us know how the water looks. I'm hoping its clearer by the weekend so we can get after them. Any reports?
I went Sunday it was still a little muddy but the wind was horrible. Had no luck.
I heard a couple of good reports from there last week, but since I will be without a boat for a little while I won't get a chance to check it out till next weekend.
Just got a report of a friend and his wife cought close to a limit this past weekend in the upper end of the lake. I wasn't going but that has convinced me to go tomorrow afternoon. Wind is forecast for only 6mph out of the NE
Well how did it go rusty.? If they caught almost a limit there it should have cleaned that end out. Any reports from swift creek?
???? Y
Bite was extremely slow Saturday. Fished smoak bridge and pulled off a few but really slow. Talked to several people Trolling and they had about same luck.
Thx for that report.
Saturday and Sunday was slow for me and several others i talked to in the upper end of the lake .
What was the water temp?
Temp was about 48 on main lake and 50 in swift creek.

If I had yer $$$ Danbo, I would already have it sitting in the driveway!!! I did find a 620V in Fountain, FL with a 225 on it already rigged and ready for trolling with all the electronics, rod holders and trolling motor....$21,000....Ya reckon I could get Slab to donate some $$$ from the Members in Need Fund???:scratchhead:Rofl
What happened to ya boat, TnT?
When I was down at Crescent the Ranger 620 was in several slip and a dern fine crappie rig.....
http://www.crappie.com/crappie/flori...e-usa-day-2-a/ Hoping to have it back in action in the next week!!
Wow, thats a heartbreaker for us dedicated crappie fishermen. You having to rewire the boat? How is the motor?
I have been at Talquin during high winds and like Blackshear it can get scary quick.
It wasn't under water that long and most everything seems to be working fine. I have it in the shop now and they are going over it with a fine tooth comb. The biggest, or most costly expense (to the insurance company) is the electronic ignition having to be replaced. Everything else is minor. Hope to have it back soon.
Went to Blackshear today.......fished from cedar creek toward colling branch and caught fish all the way........temps was 50 and fish were kinda deep. We managed several good fish along the way.....never turned around till the rain I did not expect came falling down. Lots of fish, lots of small fish, lots of fun.......
A co-worker of mine was fishing the river channel north of the 280 bridge today and had some pretty good luck with some really nice fish. They kept 37 real nice fish in the 1.25 to 1.5 lb range pushing minnows on the channel ledges. Threw back at least that many smaller fish. That ain't bad for Blackshear....Wonder how a long liner would have done there???
