You don't need a guide......just looks for the boats and start trolling.......you'll catch a bunch!:biggrin

Most of the time they will be between the island and Dunns creek which is at the north end of the lake. Just merge in with the boats, just like talquin.
You will have fun. Check here and the reports will show you how things are going.
A great guide on Crescent would be John Payton. He will defiantly put you on some fish and he knows what he is doing. Tons and tons of fishing knowledge and great stories. Went with him this year on Lake Toho in central Florida and had a blast. 352-408-3048

Still fish at Talquin.
Yes there are still Specs at Talquin but at one time it was the best Crappie Lake in the Southeast.
I remember them days.
I agree, Talquin was the best in the southeast in the mid 90's. After the draw down in 96 or 97 we caught great numbers. Then the next three years the size increased.
Mack Gainey always said that Lake needed a draw down every 5-10 years.
Crescent is going to be like Talquin in a few years if they keep taking as many fish out like they do now. Just my 2 cents worth.:twocents
Really hate to see those two pounders going in the freezers..... they would be three pounders or close to it next year! :twocents
Question: what is the life expectancy of a white and black crappie if not caught and swimming in normally good conditions for a crappie???
Crappie.com is an information Center for 100 s of lurkers. I think we discussed last year maybe to not post publicly on the BITE. For that reason ? Did I get that wrong toooo?
