I am thinking about going to the crappie academy in Searcy on the 7th of February. Has anyone ever gone to one and if so did you feel you got your money's worth.
Grizzly Jig Show, multiple days, many speakers, AND FREE
Jarad and his dad Mr. Tommy are good guys and have lots tourney experience. They also know lots of top notch tourney people that are willing to share their wealth of knowledge. I think it would be a great one on one chance to talk some outstanding crappie fishermen instead of sitting in a huge group.
I would go with you Don, but I already know it all. [emoji12][emoji12][emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]
BWAHAHAHAHAHA
Well at least he thinks he does !!!! LOL
with great guys like Jerry and Bill to hang around with, life is good. Jerry I want to "Thank You" for talking me into the MCC tournament trail. I just feel I need to get more knowable to compete on the circuit. I also have another plan that will probably get Bill upset but with your help maybe I will not piss him off to much.
I have often heard that you get what you pay for. I figure I will save the cost of the event in gas money anyway if I went to grizzly show. Not saying one is better than the other but just saying. I want to attend the Bass Pro Shops crappie events also. I am the kind of person that can deceive themselves in thinking I know a lot and then one trip brings me back to reality.
You could learn from any or all of these events! !!!!
One more thing. I said I knew it all, but I ain't learned how to use it all. [emoji12]
chardonsdad I know you will get your moneys worth. The one on one time with the pros, hands on training and Humminbird training you can't go wrong. Hope to see you and bring a partner. Safe travels.
I sure the information is posted somewhere but I have not seen it and would like to go . Can someone send me a link or let me know the details , thanks!
PM Jarad Roper at Roper Outdoors. He posted above.
Jared Roper and his dad Mr. Tommy are great guys as well as crappie fishermen. They have a wealth of fishing knowledge and bring some heavy hitters to these events. It'll be money Well Spent!!!!
Here is the flyer Slab posted in another thread. I want to say thank you to BigRiverMarine (Bill) for all the nice word and the owner of Crappie.com for posting the info about the Academy. It's back in it's home state where it got started. Attachment 186982

It's a cheap investment to a lifelong wealth of knowledge. Might miss a limit the day Ya go, but will add to MANY limits down the road.
Don't forget Ronnie Capps will be at the Little Rock Bass Pro tonight at 7pm, and tomorrow at 11am, and again at 2pm. He said he would be there early and late of each seminar to answer one on one questions. Yall go see him and tell him I said hello. [emoji4]
