Saturday was a Very Good Day on Harris
Actually, it was the best day any of us have had on Harris. It was not so much about the quantity, but the quality. I was fishing with Kevin and Charles and none of us have ever seen such large crappie come from Harris. Kevin got the big one at 14". We ended up keeping about 20 crappie and 20 perch. Some of the perch were very large and put up quite a fight. There was one time when Kevin had perch on all three of his rods and Charles had two rods with perch. Things were hopping on the boat for a little while.
Had a chance to chat with Hockey86 while on the lake. Kevin, Charles and Hockey86 all have gray/black Tracker Targa boats. If you see one on Jordan or Harris, it is probably one of these three guys. I've got a picture down below of him fishing. I also have a couple of screenshots. Things on Harris look exactly like Jordan--lots of shad and other baitfish in the main channel areas.
Here's Kevin with his big-fish of the day. He was suffering from a bad cold and landing this slab helped him feel much better.

Charles and Kevin on several occasions caught two perch at a time. Here's Charles with his two.

Nice cooler of crappie. If I had not been there in person and caught some of these, I would surely have thought these fish came from Jordan. Nice, big shoulders on them just like the Jordan crappie.

Here's why the crappie on Harris are so healthy--look at all the shad.

Here's one more--fish hiding near the drop-off.
