Two different cuts of meat, I've ate both Love Ribeye and prime rib is good too
Apparently I was wrong, same cut of meat just cut differently
Ribeye are the steaks cut from the prime rib roll.
They sure are. "Prime rib" indicates that the bone-in rib loin (usually 5-7 ribs) is cooked whole. If you butcher the prime rib into slabs cutting between each rib bone, you get cowboy rib eyes. In the case of prime rib, "prime" does not indicate the grade of the beef. It can be Select, Choice or Prime grade.
exactly, most folks roast a prime rib in the oven. Like a standing rib roast like you see in holiday pics. Then slice and serve. Ribeye's are normally grilled hot and fast. The way they are cooked gives the meat different flavor sand texture. I like my prime rib roasted then sliced and grilled with a crawfish sauce on top.
Correct. Our Christmas dinner:

I buy whole racks regular as most of my cuts, cheaper in the long run. Cut off some for grilling later. Feesh, you're right, crawfish etouffee ladled on top is excellent.
You guys and your sauces. A good piece of meat don't need a sauce. Just sayin.
Um, beef, yum.
