Best "miracle" I have found is Mr. Heater on top a propane tank. Put the tank in a milk crate and you are set for a good warm trip :)
What he said !
Under Armour cold gear, but the heater idea is probably cheaper!
That Under Armour cold gear works really well too!!!
My deer hunting bibs and carhardt coat along with my golf heater does a great job.
Agree with the under armour, good stuff on those cold days. Heaters are hard to beat even with the under cloths on. Sure helps to keep the fingers warm.
yall fellers found something in that under armour I didn't
bought almost 100$ of that stuff wore it one time and liked to froze
big money spent didn't feel to warm to me
don't know where it is now but I hope wife threw it in trash. that's my :twocents
went to wally world bought bulky flannel hoodie and found a zero coat at yard sale for 1$
bigdawgg gave me some bibs now warm and happy happy happy
Dont feel bad, I fell for that junk, too. Wore it one time last year striper fishing, froze too death, Dont know what happen to them, but I would love to have that money back now! I did find some this year that do work GOOD, wore them 3 times now and my legs have not got cold, wore them today on the water, never got cold. Not near as high priced, Duofold Thermals, I will order me some more of these.
I'm with ya countryboy them logos don't do nothing about keeping you warm buy some bulky cloths put it on in layers that will do the job
you don't have to spend big bucks to stay warm fishin
Brett, what ever you ware try not to over do it. Loose clothes are better than tight. Insulation bibs and coat plus a good hat are hard to beat. If you get your self a inverter you can use a small electric heater or get a heater like mentioned above. Hand warmer are nice for your pockets to keep hands and fingers warm. Use a towel after you bait your hook or take a fish off to dry your hands. That's the key to stay warm. I have seen a sleeping bag from Sportsman Guide that has arms on it so you can fish or hunt. My son has one and he looks cute in it. It does the trick for him though. Good luck with what ever you do let us know how it works out for you!:popcorn
I've got the answer for ya...........Go to the CVS pick you up one of them hello kitty snuggies....By the time your buddies get tired of ribbin you about it you'll be able to skinny dip the yukon with out gettin cold..........:biggrin
No scratch that seriously go to the army surplus and get a set of their cold weather long handles, lot and lots of research money went into developing their cold weather gear and it works..........
Get you some insulated bibs and jacket. I found a real good deal at Tractor Supply on the ones I have. Also, the propane heater is a good idea. I have one and it keeps everything warm and toasty. One other thing you might try is a pontoon enclosure, that is if you have a pontoon. :ThumbsUp
Hot Hands packs stuffed here and there work good. Propane heaters work great BUT.....I have seen several nice set of Gortex bibs pants legs melted to a crisp due to brushing against a hot heater while fighting a fish. Be aware....
