Sorry,but what is the "NR"?
Good Stuff, Its the North River.
The Currituck one? See many ducks?
Great catch- I bet Redboat is having an orgasm.
Nice perch! They yellows are early! I'll be making the drive out in a week or two :)
Redboat, I think I'm going again on Tuesday! !
I wanna go! Love me some raccoon perch.
Banjo I might have to swap a trip with you!!! Id love to come fish Jordan. Never fished in a Lake for crappie. I need an education! Lol
Those must be YANKEE perch. i've only caught small ones down here in NC.
North river is on the NC coast Goodstuff and Tony. :) Speckle75, we can certainly come to an agreement on a swap, that would rock!!!
Sounds good Banjo! I would like to just take off and go but its a good 2hrs and 45 min for me to get there. Guess im just gonna have to bite the bullet!! Good Stuff if you look on google maps, it will be between Pasquotank river and Currituck sound.
Thanks. I'll look it up.
Its 3 hour drive for me but its worth it.
Redboat that what I hear. I just heard that there is some good quality crappie there. Id like to try my luck. Im definitely going , just haven't made up my mind yet when.
Mighty fine eatin thar!!!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks for the info speckle75!
Don't know how I missed this thread. That's the best looking cooler I've seen all year! Minnows, cranks, jigs? Those are some absolute jumbos. I've been meaning to hit our local perch lake, you just sank the nail in that coffin. Crappie aren't too shabby either. Real nice going Speck.
Friedfish, we caught them all on minnows! Havent yet been back but im ready!!
I've got the exact same setup at the front of my boat, except the cross member is steel (I'm a machinist). You got the holders off of those cheap clamp on rod holders, right? They work great!
If I get motor fixed I am looking at making a trip next Sat.
This is my buddys boat. It fishes pretty good . Mine is set up a little different because its a little wider.
I sent you a pm .
Nice mess speckle
It's a little early, but while crappie fishing Saturday in New Bern I could smell the Raccoon Perch getting ready to do their thing. I didn't catch any but my buddy did on our last trip there a few days back. I'd say that the spawn for them is getting close, the water temp was pushing 51* in spots.
The end of this month should start getting better for them!
My Father told me that many years ago, probably late '40's, his two uncles would take him bass fishing on the North River. They always hired the same guide every year. He said they had some great times fishing the area.
