Just hit $1.99 here
Goin fishing is gettin so cheap I can't afford not to go. I'm gonna tell my wife "look how much money I'm saving!"
That's the logic they use when they go shopping. It is always how much they saved, not how much they spent.
It does seem like a welcome sight for now, but this does have a trickle down effect. If it continues much longer, ya'll will see how it effects the economy as a whole. I deal with this for a living, just sayin.
I've written several responses to your comment Randy. Erased all of 'em. Guess I'm just speechless! Politically correct, no..........just speechless.
Trickles down to more gifts for the grandkids, more boat sales, more of every kind of sales. [emoji4]
Well it didnt work at $4.00 so where is the perfect price.
While I love it as much as the next guy, for those of us lucky enough to be retired and living on investment income it's tough. I retired from an oil plant and naturally invested a large percentage of my retirement in entergy. It hurts, believe me. Not looking for anyone to be mad or sad for making my comments. Just saying, the oil drop has made my future outlook look more gloomy for now. I have definitely learned what diversify means now. Just showing a different side of the coin.
Guess " everyone" might feel it . instead of just the middle .:twocents
Filled up with diesel little while ago at $2.97 a gallon!!!!!!!!!!:yikes
Filled up, bought a pizza for supper and had 11 bucks left out of a long-wheel base ten!!!!!!! Love it, gonna fill the boat up tomorrow.
That's what I'm talking about, the oil man got some , the pizza man got some, the minner man gonna get some, and Micky dee might get some .99 sausage and a 1.00 sweet tea.
I just thought today that I need to take a fishing trip while gas is down....maybe Mississippi!:biggrin
im 100% against OPEC forcing us to buy oil from them for several reasons. the US was on the way to providing ourselves with oil, even though it cost us more to produce than them, it puts people to work and the money stays here.. And.. If they drop the price to what they're predicting.. A lot of folks will be without a job.. Including myself
Debbie and I need to rework our 401Ks for now. Losing money everyday.
It's $1.99 here too. I bought Kroger gas today $1.19 all 35 gallons.
I heard that BP was going to lay off some. I was laid off for 2 years when #2 diesel jumped from .35 to .75 per gallon.
Yup. Just saw it at that price up here too.
:popcorn
$1.80's here.
It's comeing, lot of oil field guys i know are cold stacking rigs now here in the us.
OPEC has refused recently to curtail production to increase prices like they have done for so many years in the past. This is an attempt to choke us, unfortunately if it continues it will. After nearly 40 years being in this business, I know when to buckle the seatbelt. We're trying fellas.
Cleveland diesel is 2.88 and gas is 2.03
We need to go to Russia. The Ruble had lost 44% to the dollar in the past two weeks. Interest rates have gone up to 18% and the Russian economy is almost to collapse just because oil prices tumble
Wish I owned a big tank. Buying gas right now would be a way better investment in any stock market. Its bound to go back up.
Russia's problems stem directly from low prices. I believe OPEC did not cut back, to hurt Russia more than us. Far as the keystone pipeline, I don't see the benefit except to Canada. Very few permanent jobs. And quite frankly, the US is refining about as much oil as we can already. We actually need some new refineries. To be able to refine our new oil and export it. Sure did not seem this way in the 70's and recently as well.
We need to move further away from dependence on oil altogether! There are alternatives though some might not be as cost efficient (yet) as need be.
Could someone explain how our economy was doing so well 10 yrs ago on $45 oil and why we have been in a slump for 8 yrs on $110 to a $150 oil why we are gonna go bust now $65. I am conffused.
A lot of factors. Initial Cost of exploration and production is higher here than there..... And a lot of misspending but I'm not gonna open that can of worms.
And as someone else said.. We NEED refineries. Screw the "tree huggers" that wanna save a Beatle. They're the most wasteful group of conservatives here. If you think about the "private landowner/simple living/ol redneck" is the most environmental friendly person in the USA.
And not to mention our money helped build their oil fields.
people who are saying the sky is falling in respect to oil prices either have personal financial interest in oil being high......... or have a political interest in staying in line with their politicians...........
A simpleton can under stand the middle ( working ) class is what makes our economy work! If gas prices go down AND food prices where to go down the extra money in families budgets would allow more spending for the stuff that makes our economy grow..............Duh..........
part of the problem with that is a lot of people don't have any confidence that what goes down won't go back up in the near future....not to mention how many are in credit card debt to begin with....not to mention health care cost.....people want to hang onto what they have out of fear.....
This conversation is just proof that you can't please everyone!!!!
All I know is that if I save 25 bux on a tank of gas, that makes my minners FREE!!!!! I like free minners!!!
" we have been in a slump for 8 yrs"
About 8 years ago I was buying 4 tanks of gas per week for close to $5 per gallon. And we had a gas shortage.
