Left the cabin at 4:45 AM. After fighting the fog for thirty minutes. Decided to wait till daybreak and headed back to cabin. Almost run ashore twice. With the lake down 10'. Not fun!!!!

Be careful out there ,it's really easy to get turned around in the fog.
You not got a good set of contour maps for that lake???
Yep but the ayers down 10, and it's hard to watch the graph and water at speed. The bass boats were out at full speed on this mess

Went late, fished an hour and picked up twenty keepers. Not a bad way to salvage the day......
shade the contours, like if 5 foot of water is now where the 15 foot contour is, shade anything 15 and less on your contours, then you will know you are in at least 5 foot of water when running and makes it easier to watch your maps that way, specially at 63 mph.:biggrin
Way to pull it together late. Most would said the heck with it.

Looks like more fog for this morning
It was foggy,,we got on the water at 6:30,,Idled around stayed close to the bank till it lifted,,Fraid to get out where we needed to be causa idiots running at speed with gps blind...wound up with a 2 man limit of whites,6 saltys(3 over 22)kept 12 spots,,threw back probably 20,,and 15 or so whites pitched back,,2 cats,,and one crappie,,beautiful slick day after the fog left Martin ,jigging spoons,35 fow

Yeah them 10# saltys act like a 2 # white bass for 20 seconds,,then they show you the business end ,,had fun jigging with and old Mitchell 302,,was ready for a sho nuff hoss,however the 2-3 minute fights on the 8-10 lbs fish were really fun!!!!
