Oh and the cables are only 12'
Good luck with your rebuild Mike!Be able to 1 finger it when you get through!
Yeah--as usual I need to buy a few things. Cable cutters and a 3 inch hole saw then I can start installing. It is going to be nice. When I got the boat from dad the cables were only a few years old and was still tight.
Gonna be nice for sure!!
It sure is!!!
1/4 done. Broke my roto zip bit opening the hole for the helm. Got the lines run and the cylinder attached to the motor. Pretty sure I'm gonna have to raise my motor a bit so I can trim all the way up when needed. Will finish the in stall tomorrow hopefully.
Hey Mike, that grass growing on the Jack plate matches your carpet!!! [emoji4]
Hahaha---sure does. I was po'd when I saw that. I've had it sealed up for a month and guess it was wet. I have no idea what to use to get rid of it.
I tell you one thing---getting rid of those two racks under the dash opened ALOT of room
Haha--the jp was just an optical allusion :) but I do have a ton of round up and msma. Ill hit the carpet with some resolve I guess.
I thought Round Up was a weed killer?
You could build you a bunk to nap on under the console wit the extra space you created
Done and man it is nice. I do need to raise the jack plate but I took the problem part off and it just needs a new nut that was stripped. Woo hoo.
I wrote up a rundown of my process in the mechanics corner forum if anyone wants the rundown.
Lookin good, Mike.
Jp is raised. would like another half inch for performance but the opposite side from which I had issues with last time got stripped so I can't go any further. I can get close to full tilt and have half an inch clearance on the fittings. I consider the job done!!! Can't wait to get on the water.
