Smallmouth beware
1/8 oz watermelon/red flake #10 red treble with fox squirrel tail #2 French blade, would have put a copper/gold blade on if I had one, this combo should be rough on smally's and googleye and I'd bet our fav wouldn't pass if they were around.
sorry the pic is so dark but you get the idea.

Bugman I lived for years on the Illinois side of St. Louis and my favorite fishing was float fishing the middle Meramac River. Those smallies and google eye will really go for that bait. Also caught a few really nice largemouths. How I miss float fishing those Ozark rivers. Nice bait.

That's a good lookin spinner for a rookie. LOL Nice work bud. You missed a deal I had a couple of years ago on a couple of big boxes of lure making stuff. Spinnerbait blades and hardware and so on. Someone out here snapped it up, you'd have done well with it all. That color pattern was one that I used here for the bass with good success in 1/16, Rooster tail i think I had.

Im always a day late and a dollar short Tim......
The Meramac is a pretty river never fished but floated it years ago, went throug Kentucky a while back and that my friend is pretty country as well.
No pro Jackie and never want to be those trebles are a pain i tie them on in 3 seperate clumps and they turn out ok,thats the reason i want some colored tubing.
Thanks FM and alboy i appreciate it.

Tying in three sections is the only way I have found to get it done, maybe someone with more sperience than me does it different. Had a real hard time doing bucktail on bigger ones.

You can use zonker strips or cut some craft hair zonker strips and they'll tie a little easier.
