Jig hook

I am looking for a extra light wire hook for my jigs. I had heard there was one coming out this past year but cannot find information on it. I know light wire hooker sells them also.

Barlows tackle!! sell good light wire hooks!! They show the dia of the hook!! Capitan Hooks has good prices as well as lurecraft!! We like Eagle claw you can adjust(bend) their hooks without breaking to fit most molds!! We adjusted the hooks(bend) to fit the new Do-IT Bat jig mold so you don't have to buy the expensive hooks!!Attachment 181414Attachment 181415 These were poured with eagle claw gold lite wire hooks!! Mustad came out with some......but I have not tried them.

I have the Mustad 32889-br and even though I'm a sickle guy I like the hook with the exception of them being bronze they are super light and will bend out most of the time on 6lb test.

Eagle claw makes the 574 model long shank but same problem it's bronze, if it was in a black chrome more folks might buy it. Might be interesting to see if EC would make a long shank sickle hook - I believe lot's of folks would buy it!

The think I dislike about the bronze is they rust so easy. I like gold or black nickel hooks just for the fact they don't rust in the tackle box.

Looking at the EC catalouge and they make a Laser Sharp 574 black nickle aberdeen hook BUT!!! it's only offered in 2/0, 3/0 and 4/0. Sending them an email about offering it in small jig sizes and if they'll try and offer it in the lil nasty sickles also!!

I sent Eagle Claw an email from above and Finally got an email back from them today. They don't say anything about adding it to the Lil Sickles either.

"Unfortunately there is currently no plans to add the smaller sizes of the L574's, We do offer the 570's in Platinum Black from sizes 10-4/0.

The Mustad crappie lite hooks have worked well for me.

The only problem I have with the mustad wire hooks is I can only find em I. Size 2 and 4

the new mustad extra lite wire jighooks are awesome! I have used the size 4's mostly. the eagle clae 574 in sizes 6 and 4 are great hooks and they are some of my favorites because they hook up so good, but they in no way will bend out like the extra lite wire hooks put out by mustad or eagle claw, the extra lite wires are a totally different breed of hook.

Those are good hooks but a tad small for 1/8 and 1/16 oz jigs though. I like size 1 and 1/0 for them

Agree on the #1 for the 1/8 and 3/32......I use the #1Litewirehook and it works great....
