Darnell Marine in Murray
I just did a Google search for them. Gary Darnell bought several different models of the old Bomber and other boats molds and built his own line of crappie boats. They were some of the most popular of the panfish boats in this area for years. I occasionally see them for sale locally.
Wish I could have been more help.
I've always wanted to get my hands on one of these boats Doug. I really like the set up.
Does anyone know anything about the crappie master/crappie king boat? I can't find any info on them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I've got an "89 crappie master and love it. 17' rated for up to 140HP. I've got a 100HP evinrude on it and it runs 36mph gps speed. live well in front and back storage in front and back also.
I wouldn't hold my breath on those boats. You "might" find one for sale, scattered here & there across the country, but the outfit that makes those boats is forever going into bankruptcy with their boat making businesses. They are a Father/Son outfit that is run out of a building on their boat ramp, motel room, and salvage yard "home" on Herrington Lake, in central Ky. They used to have a marina, but it went into disrepair (decades ago) and was "removed". They've had 4 or so different boat/business names ... but none of them have lasted more than a few years.
I can't tell you anything about the quality of the boats, as I've never actually fished from one or owned one. They do look nice, and appear to be laid out pretty nice for Crappie fishing. I fish Herrington Lake, and know the people that make the boats, but I don't launch from their end of the lake, and haven't for many years, so I don't know much about their operation.
They used to be active members, here ... but, their last activity on the site was about 2yrs ago. If you want to try and contact them, to see what's going on with their boat operation, you might try the email or phone # from their profile : http://www.crappie.com/crappie/member.php?u=35972 ... can't guarantee either one is still current, though.

You should get ahold of t.slabseeker. He has a crappiemaster that he bought new from the guys mentioned above. I can say that I have fished out of it quite a bit & it seems to be a tough boat. The only thing i would want different would be a wider front deck. Raywright22 also has one with dual console. Again fished in it too & seems to be built good.
Man you guy's are great, you've been a tremendous help and if anybody has any more info please share it. Thanks a lot.
I have a 2007 single console 18'-6" Crappie Master with a 115 Evinrude Etec and love it. Very good and stable fishing boat. Jim Bryant also built a 21 footer. If you check the Alabama formula Weiss Lake Lodge got oneand had pics posted. Jims nephew was helping him when the built the 21footer for Weiss Lake Lodge in 2011 when I visited their shop. The last # for Chris Bryant I have is 859-351-1358. Hope this helps.

Not sure what you bought but I just ran across this post. We build the Crappie Boat. Let me know if I can help.
Triton made a 19-6 glass boat rated for 200hp.really good to fish out of. Takes rough water really well. They are not made anymore and hard to find. Do/not forget to look on bass boat central. Good luck.
