Where are the Sea Gulls?

One of my golf buddies who lives on Lake Murray sent me the above email question. Since 99.9% of the stuff he sends me are jokes, I kept looking for the punch line. A few days later he asked me "Are you not going to answer my question?"
I did not realize he was serious. He is not a fisherman, but he has noticed there are no gulls in his cove or any other places (like the K-Mart parking lot) where he has always seen them.
Now that I've thought about it, when we got into the surface school of perch/small stripers last week on Murray, there were no gulls anywhere. Have you Murray fishermen noticed this? How about the other lakes? Are you seeing gulls or have they disappeared?

Remember them in the spring, but not this fall..now that I think about it.

Still at the coast??? Bait hasn't left yet.

Hey Ray we saw about 10 when we first got at the landing Sunday but they didn't hang around long.

Maybe their where they belong the sea as in sea gulls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never did understand why they would leave the beach where all the bikini's are and head inland!!!!!!!!

Maybe it's this cold front that sent them packing

They have bothered me for two weeks now on the Hill. They love to mess with my herring. I had to take out my sling shot. Of course, to scare them. Herring cost too much.

Reedy River arm on Gwd had a few on Sunday.

I think they are just like me. If the food is where I am at(the beach). I'm not leaving till i run out of food. Then I'll fly inland to feed on food that can't migrate.

Clouds Creek had plenty yesterday around 3pm.

They will be there soon, It's just a little early. I will be there soon TOO! Get ready crappie and striper, here I come.

There are plenty on lake wateree earlier this week as they were all over the striper schooling. And seen a few flocks on Wylie today dive bombin the poor loons.

Searay KFC has fried all of them, at lease that is what it looks like when I go their. Ha Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are mostly on the coast as of yet, just wait when the cold comes and then warms back up then you will wonder where all of them come from.

Saw about thirty around Dreher Island today.

I was at Tucker Town Nov. 4th. their were a lot their. (Near Albemarle NC)

Think think they were on e hill yet, love when they come to the hill it's like an aerial fish Finder.

Got out on Hartwell for a few hours yesterday. Saw gulls in several of the major creeks. They are starting to show up now.

I was there today, birds were there, crappie too, I told you I was coming.

How many did u wind up catching? How were u fishing?

Vertical jigging, got a report in moderated section.

Plenty up the lake where the rivers split.

Cold weather must be bringing them in. My friend who lives on Murray says in his cove, which is a long deep run, there are usually dozens flying around, which is why he asked me about them. I will check with him to see if any have come in now.
