Sat. Round 2

Maybe a few details on the conditions Sat night. Boats went in all directions to find fish. I can tell a little bout where 3 of em were. Weather was bout as good as it gets. Air temp mid 50s to start down to mid 4os by weigh in.A mostly full moon.But a little cloud cover kept it dim for us. Water was 62 where we anchored up.Clear as it gets.I was in 26 fow. The other two were about the same. It was a slow start but by 8:00 it was on where I was. In the end I had 53 crappie on the clicker and kept a limit. Was having to cull 8-10 in fish. My minnows ran out around 11:00. so I started to pack it up. Fishing minnows bout 3-4 turns off the bottom.Did catch a few on jigs. But minnows was the bite. Surprised me that I only had maybe 10 perch bites. One of the other boats bout 100 yds away had a cooler full of em. Thanks for holding em off me guys. Hope I get back there soon. But some real cold weather headin our way they predict. Oh well still got fuel in my heater for that.

good job John about all I did was watch fishfinder kill um :popcorn hope to go back soon and try to learn this night fishin thing

Good report John. Biting fish will keep the minnow bucket on empty but it does make for a great time pulling
em in.

Ray, that's like mine. Remus seemed to like it until it blew out. Had to restart it twice. But it does work and puts out heat pretty good. Mine has the fan on it. You will like it as long as the winds not blowing to much, also you cant travel with it on, it will go out.

Well that is a mystery to me. Why would there be Crappie in one spot and perch in another just a few yards away? If there is a perch around he is gonna bite any minnow I drop in. Crappie never stand a chance.

whenever we can talk fishfinder8 into showing us how its done well try that heater out but I get to sit closest (??is that a word) to it :biggrin
maybe let bigdawgg go so we have 2 heaters and I get to sit between them :dono .. finally got the uss remus 2 back home == would be a good place to break in that new heater. if we cant get together before John is off again maybe get one up for that day or night = what can you come up with John maybe invite the NC guys just to fish with us and they not be worried bout getting they socks beat off in a contest :Rofl

Sounds like we have another trip in the makings. All we need is ofishlbizzness, Remus, SeaRay, Cutbait, and some of those NC guys if they aren't still shaking from the cold last Sat.. I am ready to go, I'll plan on going weather permitting (no rain ). let's get it out there and see who wants to play.:juggle

I've got one of those............ It sure kicks out the heat, but really sucks down the gas....... If you don't already have one grab one of those adapters you can refill the 1lb cylinders from a grill bottle, it will save you some $$$$$

I've got one of those but it seems like the bottle does not last as long when refilled compared to a new one. I also got an adaptor and hose so I can connect it to my 20# bottle and use it in my shop.

I can't make it on the 21st. We have another commitment for that night. Y'all need to fish in the daylight!:hatchet:

we cant let him sit to close to heater == if he gets any hotter then he was sat. wont nobody else catch nothing :fish
